Welcome! I am currently a Visiting Instructor of English at Florida Atlantic University where I recently earned my Ph.D. in Comparative Studies. I have taught courses at FAU in composition, short fiction, drama, and literary theory. I have also taught courses in composition, introductory literature, business writing, and Fantastic literature at Broward College. While my M.A. work focused on the Fantasy literature of Lord Dunsany, my dissertation, “Living Capital: Situating Animals within Capitalist Modes of Production in Science Fiction,” looks at capitalism's relationship to animals in Science Fiction. I am currently the Public Information Officer for the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts. I served as the Student Caucus Representative for the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts from 2014-2016 and as the Secretary for the Comparative Studies Student Association at Florida Atlantic University from 2013-2015.
